RERUIREMENT OF SUBJECTS FOR MASTER'S PROGRAMMESAcademic Year
Academic Year at Quaid-i-Azam University starts in February and lasts till the middle of January in the following year: Academic year is divided into two semesters, Spring Semester (February to June) & Fall Semester (September to January) University is closed for teaching during the summer break in July & August.

Biochemistry, Botany, Geography, Psychology, Applied Psychology, Environmental Sciences and Bioinformatics. Three years B.Sc.(Hons) degree holders in Zoology, Genetics, Microbiology and Biochemistry are also eligible.
B.Sc. degree holders in Medical Laboratory Technology are not eligible. | 3 | Biochemistry | B.Sc./B.Sc.(Hons) three years with Chemistry or Biochemistry. In addition any other subject of Biology such as Botany, Zoology, Psychology, Genetics, Marine Technology/ Bio-Agriculture, Microbiology, Biochemistry etc. B.S.Ed.(3-years).
B.Sc. degree holders in Medical Laboratory Technology are ineligible. | 4 | Business Administration | B.A. or B.Sc., BCS/BIT, B.Com, BBA/BBA(Hons), MBBS, B.Sc. Engineering, B.Sc. (Pharmacy), Agriculture, Marine Technology and Naval Sciences., BS in any field including Hons. degree /BPA/B.Sc.(Hons) | 5 | Chemistry | B.Sc. with Chemistry., B.Sc. (Hons.3-Years), BS.Ed.(3-Years) | 6 | Computer Science | B.A/B.Sc. with Mathematics or Computer Science (2-years duration) Engineering Graduates in all areas except in CS/CE/SE/IT (Computer Science/Computer Engineering/ Software Engineering/Information Technology). | 7 | Defence & Strategic Studies | B.A. with one of the following Elective subjects: -
